WIHW 3rd Prize Winners
Interfaith Harmony Halifax and it’s partners win Third Prize for the H.M King Abdullah II of Jordan Prize for WIHW 2016. Prize-winning report here.
In judging, the judges took into consideration efforts made despite scantiness of resources, but also took into consideration the excellence of efforts, collaboration, and impact of events. They further took into consideration whether events were consistent with the text of the U.N. Resolution establishing the Prize.
Judges rewarded events specifically celebrating the World Interfaith Harmony Week. There were over 800 events this year and Interfaith Harmony Halifax and its partners were chosen from eighty-three submitted reports.
Kim MacAulay and Anthony Power have been chosen as the two representatives to go to Jordan in April 2016 to accept the third prize.

Declaration of Interfaith Peace & Friendship
Interfaith Harmony Halifax* invites you to make a public expression of support for Interfaith Peace and Friendship during and/or before the 1st week of February in accord with the United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week.
The culmination of the Interfaith Harmony Week in Halifax is an interfaith celebration at the Mount on Sunday, February 7th at 2:30 PM. At this time, we will have a “Wall of Declaration” posting all declarations made by organizations locally, provincially, nationally and globally, including the Proclamation by the City of Halifax.
